Betty J (1967) aka Blikstjinder (a typical Frisian expletive her father used to say a lot ;-) …) is a self-taught digital artist since 2014. Recently (2025) she picked up drawing with actual paper and pencils again. She is now living nearby Arnhem in the Netherlands where she makes free work as well as commissioned work. For her free works she is mostly inspired to make portraits in a surrealistic environment. She picks pictures and cuts them all by herself in Procreate, she doesn't use AI to do this for her.

Pets, sometimes with their owners, are also a loved subject for her drawings. Often she combines her work with a theme like global warming, spirituality or health.
